Day 15. Monday, January 22. The Goodness of God in the City

Psalm 127.1 — 1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain; If the Lord does not guard the city, the guard watches in vain.
In a world that is deteriorating day by day, where the news tells us about disasters, deaths, tragedies, insecurity, where schools talk about bullying , and merchants have to hire extra security for their businesses. The word of God gives us the necessary recipe so that our house, our city, can be successful and blessed.
Some time ago I was studying the city of Fontana. This city was founded in 1913, and is the second largest in San Bernardino County. Fontana comes from the Italian language which means fountain or water resource. During world war II
Henry J. Kaiser set up a steel plant, and built what is called the foundation of the Kaiser Permanente hospital, today one of the largest medical organizations in the United States.
Each city has its history, its times of splendor and its times of ruins. The word of God teaches us that, if we want to have a successful city, we have to allow it to be built by the Lord himself.
Today Monday is we enter the last week of our fasting and prayer. If we want our city to be transformed, we have to pray for our city. Ask God for the leaders of this city, the authorities, to listen to Advice on how to build a city according to God's specifications. The Bible teaches us that we have to pray for our authorities and obey them Romans 13.1
Action of the day:
  • Bless your city, starting early pray for your city.
  • As you walk through the streets, say that this is a city of God.
  • Declare that the divine architect is working on the schools, the police forces, that every area of this city is being transformed by the power of God.
  • Declare peace over your Jerusalem, and that every plan of the enemy is destroyed in the name of Christ Jesus.
  • Stay expectant for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this earth.
  • Remember there is an outstretched hand of blessing upon the Inland Empire .

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, fast with conscience. And ask your doctor if you can fast.
