Day 14 Sunday January 19

Wisdom and Power Belong to God

Bayron

Scripture:

“Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.” – Daniel 2:20-21 NIV

 Reflection:

In this passage, Daniel acknowledges God’s sovereignty over all things, seasons, leaders, and the wisdom we seek. Daniel was in a situation that required divine insight to interpret King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Instead of panicking or relying on his own understanding, Daniel turned to God in prayer and worship, recognizing that all wisdom and power come from Him.

This truth is a reminder that no matter how chaotic or uncertain life may seem, God is in control. He orchestrates the flow of history and grants wisdom to those who seek Him. When we feel powerless or confused, we can rest in the assurance that God’s wisdom is always available to guide us.

This brings me back to something that my family and I went through in the beginning of 2024. Where our faith was tested, and where we had to put into practice what we preached! But as humans it is one of the hardest things to do. Because doctors can give you a diagnosis that you were not expecting , and you may feel your life falling apart.

But when you do not lean on your own understanding but instead look for GOD’S WISDOM he will lead you through the FIRE!!!

AS GOD WILL BE THE FOURTH MAN IN YOUR FIRE! JUST AS HE WAS WITH SHADRAC, MESHACH, AND ABEDNEGO.

So today, let us praise God for His wisdom and power and lean on Him in every situation, trusting that He will provide the discernment we need.

ACTION OF THE DAY: STEPS TO SEEK GOD’S WISDOM AND POWER

 1. BEGIN WITH PRAISE AND SEEKING

 • Spend a few minutes in prayer, thanking God for his sovereignty and recognizing Him as the source of wisdom and power.

 • Reflecting on areas in your life where you need guidance.

   2.  SEEK GOD’S WISDOM THROUGH HIS WORD

 • Open your bible and allow God to guide you.

 • And meditate on how God’s wisdom relates to your situation

   3. PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT

 • Ask God to give you wisdom and clarity on the decisions you need to take

 • But most importantly be very specific in your prayer, asking Him to align your thoughts with His will.

   4.  TRUST GOD’S TIMING AND CONTROL

 • Reflect on how God has been faithful in changing seasons in your life

 • Let go of any uncertainty about the future, trusting that God is in control of all things.
