Day 17 Wednesday January 22

“Wise Goals for Preaching.

Isaiah 52:7 — How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who proclaims joy, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

When we think of a person who works, his feet may be contaminated by the places he has walked. However, for God, the fact that you have deigned to proclaim the Good News of Salvation generates a transforming action. If you work for God, sowing the seed and being a transmitter of His Word, your walk is a blessing. The apostle Paul quotes this Word in Romans 10:15: “And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” This implies an action of sending; that is, you must take the initiative, because someone had to push you to become a preacher.

Today, on this day of fasting, be aware that someone has to be impacted by the power of God, and you are needed. He needs your words, your conviction, and your passion. Today, the Holy Spirit encourages you to fill your lips with praise, to be an ambassador of peace in your family, at work, at church, and with your friends. Do it with joy, because when your attitude changes, everything around you is transformed. The atmosphere in which you live becomes contagious and those around you are affected.

You may tell me that you cannot experience that joy because you are going through problems. It is precisely in those moments that you forget the last part of this verse: “My God reigns!” This means that there is someone who is above every situation and every problem. He is sovereign. When we proclaim that “my God reigns,” we do not give control of our lives to Satan or to our circumstances; on the contrary, we affirm that there is someone who is above everything, and that is Jesus Christ. He himself said in Matthew 28:18: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.”

Jesus, the Most High, goes on to say, sending you in Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and remember (behold)! I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Hallelujah, what a wonderful word! Jesus sends you with the joy that He will always be with you. Before this week and this chain of fasting and prayer is over, preach and strive to be a bearer of the Good News of Salvation.

The action of the day is to confess and declare, “My God reigns!” Make it known to those around you.
